We are looking for an experienced UX Expert to design user experience for tactical systems operated in the field. You will translate product requirements into intuitive user flows and interaction patterns that help operators perform effectively in demanding operational environments. The role focuses primarily on interaction design, operational usability, and user workflows, while also requiring the ability to execute UI within an established design system.
Responsibilities
- Translate Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and feature requirements into clear, intuitive user flows.
- Design interaction patterns that minimize cognitive load and support users operating under pressure.
- Conduct user research with field operators and validate designs against real-world operational scenarios.
- Create and execute UI designs within the company’s existing design system.
- Ensuring consistency and usability across multiple products and platforms.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, System Engineers, and QA teams from concept through deployment.
- Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in UX design.
- Tactical operational background, including personal experience operating mission-critical systems in the field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Visual Communication, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in user-flow design and interaction design, demonstrated through a professional portfolio.
- Ability to design and execute UI within an established design system.
- Proficiency with modern UX and design tools.
- Excellent written English communication skills.
- Strong self-management and ability to work independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience designing products for rugged devices, mobile platforms, or constrained-screen environments.
- Familiarity with C4I systems, tactical mapping solutions, Battle Management Systems (BMS), or RF/communications systems.
- Experience leveraging AI and modern productivity tools to improve design and development workflows.
- Additional languages beyond Hebrew and English
