Using the Android platform, ORION enables mission planning, navigation, positioning, and enhanced situational awareness using the GIS database and Augmented Reality (AR) capabilities From a video released by the IDF spokesperson about the IDF’s fighting inside the Gaza Strip, it appears that the Israeli forces are using the Orion (Olar) tactical battle management systems manufactured by the Israeli company Asio Technologies. We previously reported that the company provided the IDF with thousands of Orion systems and that the system has long been in operational use in the IDF.
