Pre-Sales Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to join our Product team and serve as the technical interface between ASIO’s products and customers worldwide.

In this role, you will lead technical product demonstrations, field evaluations, proof-of-concept activities, and customer engagements across ASIO’s product portfolio, including ORION, TAURUS, LYNX, GeoFusion, OTS, and related tactical solutions.

As part of the Product organization, you will work closely with Product Management, System Engineering, UX, R&D, and Sales to ensure customers experience the full capabilities of our products while providing valuable field feedback that drives future product development.

This position combines technical expertise, customer interaction, operational understanding, and hands-on system operation in both office and field environments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Present and demonstrate ASIO’s products to customers, partners, and international delegations through technical presentations, live demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, and field evaluations. 
  • Lead customer pilots from preparation through execution, including system configuration, hands-on operation, troubleshooting, and technical support. 
  • Support the technical aspects of the sales cycle by understanding customer operational needs, answering technical questions, and contributing to RFI/RFP responses. 
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear value propositions for different audiences, including operators, commanders, system integrators, and procurement teams. 
  • Collect customer feedback, operational insights, and field requirements, and work closely with Product Management and engineering teams to improve future product capabilities. 
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve demonstration environments, operational scenarios, and technical presentation materials. 
  • Collaborate with Product Management, System Engineering, Software, UX, Validation, and Operations teams to ensure customer demonstrations accurately represent product capabilities. 
  • Support product launches, exhibitions, customer visits, and field demonstrations in Israel and abroad. 

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, System Engineering, or another customer-facing technical role. 
  • Operational background working with tactical or mission-critical systems in defense, homeland security, or related industries. 
  • Experience presenting and demonstrating complex technical systems to customers and senior stakeholders. 
  • Strong understanding of software-based systems, system architecture, and multidisciplinary products. 
  • Hands-on experience operating complex systems in field environments. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Strong written and spoken English. 
  • Self-driven with strong ownership and the ability to learn new technologies independently. 
  • Willingness to travel internationally for customer meetings, demonstrations, and field activities. 
  • Eligible to obtain the required security clearance. 

 

Advantage

  • Background in C4I, BMS, tactical mapping, RF communications, or mission management systems. 
  • Experience with technical proposal writing, including RFI/RFP responses. 
  • Experience building demonstration environments or conducting operational field evaluations. 
  • Basic scripting or software development experience.

  • Additional languages beyond Hebrew and English.
