System Engineer / Technical Manager – Aerial Electro-Optical Systems (NOCTA / NavGuard)

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer / Technical Manager to lead the technical definition, development, integration, and delivery of our NOCTA / NavGuard product line.

NOCTA (also known as NavGuard / OBOX) is a battle-proven electro-optical navigation solution designed for GPS-denied environments, providing reliable, drift-free positioning even when traditional navigation systems are compromised.

Developed entirely in-house, NOCTA combines advanced algorithms, software, sensors, and hardware technologies into a robust system integrated into operational platforms and real mission environments.

As the technical lead, you will drive multidisciplinary engineering activities and play a key role in delivering high-performance products to customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the system engineering and technical management of the NOCTA product line throughout the full product lifecycle.
  • Define system architecture, interfaces, operational concepts, and technical requirements.
  • Translate customer and operational needs into structured technical solutions and engineering priorities.
  • Act as the primary technical focal point across software, algorithms, hardware, electronics, mechanics, integration, and validation teams.
  • Lead technical decision-making and trade-off analysis across performance, cost, schedule, and operational requirements.
  • Ensure system readiness through structured engineering processes including requirement management, risk management, verification, and validation.
  • Support integration into airborne and tactical platforms, including testing, troubleshooting, and field activities.
  • Work closely with R&D, QA, Operations, Program Management, and customers to ensure successful product execution.
  • Support customer demonstrations, evaluations, and technical discussions while monitoring industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, technical leadership, project management, or similar multidisciplinary roles.
  • Strong understanding of complex electro-optical systems involving software, algorithms, sensors, hardware, and platform integration.
  • Experience in system architecture, requirement definition, interface management, and technical leadership.
  • Background in drones, UAVs, navigation systems, electro-optics, computer vision, or GNSS-denied environments.
  • Experience writing system requirements and technical specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in defense, aerospace, robotics, homeland security, or autonomous systems.
  • Experience working with military or operational customers.
  • Familiarity with multidisciplinary hardware-software development and validation processes.
  • Experience supporting proposals, demonstrations, and customer-facing technical activities.
